Welcome to the Bigfork Art and Cultural Center 2021
As the newly elected Chair of the Board, I invite you to join us at the BACC as we sprint into our spring/summer season of art and culture. If you hurry, you can still catch the Forms and Fiber show now on display through Saturday. The fiber works in this gallery display are explosions of color and design created by our Montana artists. You will scarcely believe some are fiber creations, or craftily sewn expressions. A sight to behold, for sure.
Beginning May 8, The Bigfork Arts and Cultural Center, in collaboration with Love Lives Here Indigenous Allies, will present Expressions of Resilience. This display will showcase the creative genius of Indigenous women throughout Montana, whose work is often underrepresented in galleries and art shows. The show will include contemporary works of art, traditional crafts, and be interspersed with poetry, music, and other art forms.
As we emerge from the quiet of 2020, we find ourselves in a community exploding with new residents and preparing for a bustling tourist season! As you’ve heard, we’re stirring things up at the BACC. Change was inevitable after the past year, and we choose to embrace that change and eagerly look to future challenges and opportunities. This is a time to grow and gain new insight into how we might improve and enhance our representation in the community. As we bid farewell to our Board Chairman, Holly, and our Executive Director, Laura, we wish them both the best as they cast their lines in new directions after leaving their marks on BACC.
